Time... you will never get it back
This book is a collection of photographs, a visual diary of a life-changing year: 2025. It is a record not of events, but of moments—the small, significant instants that make up a rich life, a life I have consciously chosen to reclaim.
The title, "Time, You Will Never Get It Back," serves as my personal mantra. Having recently retired, I've come to understand a simple, profound truth: it is infinitely more important to be time-rich than to be financially rich. I closed the chapter on my professional life to open another, one dedicated to the things that truly matter: spending more time at ourg allotment and being present with my loved ones.
This year has been a testament to that decision. It began with the simple, immense joy of marrying Norma, an event captured in many of these pages. The allotment, too, is coming along beautifully, a patch of earth where my hands are always busy and my mind is finally quiet. It’s a place where time slows down, becoming something to savor, not spend.
And then, there was the culmination of a childhood dream: the motorbike trip to the Elan Valley. The photographs from that journey—the winding roads, the rugged landscapes, the sheer freedom of it all—are some of my most cherished.
Every image in this book is a reflection of this newfound, time-rich existence. They are the moments I chose to freeze, the light I chose to hold, and the people and places that have filled my year with immeasurable value.
I invite you to look through these photos and consider your own relationship with time. May they encourage you to seize the moments you will never get back.

Go nice places Do good things
This book is a look back at what I’ve been up to over the past year. There are photos from my trips to Nerja, Spain, with Norma—we went a few times and even got to see some incredible storms with lightning lighting up the sky.
The allotment has really started coming together, and the garden’s looking better than ever. A big part of that is the outdoor kitchen, which Joe helped build—it’s been a great spot for some fun times and plenty of good food with Joe and Lucy.
There are also shots from biking and camping trips with Steve, and one of the highlights of the year: seeing the Northern Lights at Kelmarsh for the first time. That was definitely a moment to remember.
We’ve had some wild weather too, with local floods adding a bit of chaos, but even that’s part of the story. Overall, it’s been a year full of going to nice places and doing good things :-)

My view from 2018 includes photos from taking Doreen the camper to Wales, going to Bearded Theory, and capturing friends and lovely views. The drone really came into its own when I used it to capture familiar places from a different perspective.
